Finest Air show experience for Sri Lankans at Unavatuna Beach

Lot of Sri Lankan’s gathered to Unvatuna Beach which is a famous shore in SL to see the Air show organized by Red Bull yesterday the 3rd December. Unvatuna beach is located about 8km’s from Galle which is having around 30 centigrade average temperature throughout the year and around 8 sunny hours each day.  So many international & local tourists gathered here to see the beautiful sunset experience and to play in the shallow clear waters. Also the beach resides along a curve. It’s like that people are gathered in a pavilion of a massive playground.   So the Red Bull company has decided the right place for the Air show.

Southern Expressway to open on 27th...

Kottawa Interchange
Southern Express way will be opened for public on 27th November. Initial stage consists the way from Kottawa to Pinnaduwa, Galle which is about 105kms. From Pinnaduwa Interchange there will be 20 minutes drive to Galle. So after the opening of Southern Highway most probably Sri Lankan’s are able to reach Galle by 1 hour which was about more than 2 ½ hours drive on traditional Galle road. Southern highway will become a southern comfort for Sri Lankans in near future.

New Technology for Mixing and Storage of Organic Compost Matters


Compost forms as a result of the natural breakdown of biodegradable organic material derived from living animals and plants. The "breaking down" is aerobic. That is an oxygen using process performed by the bacteria, fungi, insects and animals, which inhabit in soil. In a compost heap these organisms generate heat as they decompose organic matter and break it into fine particles. Composting is nature's own and oldest method of waste disposal and soil fertilization.

Arts icon to Colombo


National Performing Art Theater which established at Normands Grounds, Ananda Kumaraswami Mw, Colombo - 07 will be open on November. This will be an outstanding icon of Colombo in near future. Building constructed according to the shape of Lotus. Square feet area is about 14,000. Theater itself have space for more than 3000 people at once. People's republic of China funded the project.  A detailed article will be published soon.

Colombo International Book fair 2011


September is renowned as Literature month in Sri Lanka. The mighty “Colombo International Book Fair” held this year between 17th to 25th September, for the consecutive 13th time.  Under the organization of Sri Lanka Book Publisher’s Association (SLBPA) this mega book fair held annually in BMICH- Convention & Exhibition Centre since 1999. In the beginning it was only 28 stalls for the exhibition. Annually due to the grown popularity number of both books publishes and visitors drastically increased.

Expressways lead to one Sri Lanka



After eradicating terrorism which lasted about 30years, the current Sri Lankan government now targets on a speedy development of the country. Government has started massive projects such as International Airport at Maththala, International Harbor at Hambanthota, and Express Highway project. Mahinda Rajapaksha International Harbor opened recently for commercial use. Express Highway project is a key ongoing project which done under three major stages. They are, Southern Expressway, Colombo – Katunayake Expressway and Outer Circular Highway.

Devram maha viharaya temple was established under the thought of most Ven. Kollonnawe Siri Sumangala thero, a well renowned Buddhist monk in Sri Lanka. Dharmachakra (wheel representing dhamma) located between two deer is the official logo of the temple. Deer is an excellent mark to represent loving kindness. “Migadaaya” (place of deer) in Isipathana in ancient India was a famous place well noted in Lord Buddha’s life story.
